L160571, L160369, L160923, FA151094, FA151071, FA150960, FA150959 with best before date 22.03.2017, 02.03.2017, 29.04.2017, 15.10.2016, 15.09.2016, 24.10.2016 and 26.09.2016 "and" MorgenLand Hunza apricot kernels, organic, 150g lot no. L160649 with expiry date 31.03.2017 "back. This information can be found on the back of the packaging. The company asks to return the corresponding bags with the above mentioned batches. Increased content of toxic hydrocyanic acid
According to the Federal Office's notification, an increased level of hydrocyanic acid was found in the apricot kernels during follow-up inspections. It is said that, by nature, bitter apricot kernels containing hydrocyanic acid can occasionally be found. Hydrocyanic acid (hydrogen cyanide) is highly toxic and, according to health experts, can cause damage to health, especially in children, and cause symptoms of intoxication such as nausea and respiratory problems.

Some people use apricot kernels to prevent the spread of cancer. But recently, scientists from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) have warned against such dangerous cancer treatments.
