11 health insurance companies with additional contribution

After the closure of the City BKK: Elf health insurance with additional contribution
01/07/2011
As of today, the statutory health insurance City BKK is closed. In a transitional phase, the last insured persons who have not yet found a health insurance fund are covered by health insurance. The new health fund must then be retroactively insured with effect from 1 July 2011. Since the closure, only 11 out of 167 health insurance companies have been making an additional contribution in addition to the regular contributions.
Today City BKK closes its gates. At the beginning of the year, 13 funds required additional contributions from their members. The City BKK had recently raised the additional balance to a whopping 15 euros. The box office fought desperately against the financial insolvency. The additional contributions should grab the ailing cashier under the arms. However, apparently the opposite happened: If a statutory health insurance fund adds an additional contribution, then the insured may benefit from their special right of termination. Especially the young and agile members have changed the cash register. They remain the elderly and chronically ill, often spending more than revenue. This course inevitably led to bankruptcy.
E.ON BKK apparently learned from this dilemma. Also on the first of July 2011, the company cash office will not ask for an additional contribution from its insured. On the part of the cash points, it was said that an additional contribution is no longer necessary, as the finances have developed positively in recent months. With immediate effect one wants to dissolve now the additional contribution. Unconfirmed but obvious is that the collection of additional contributions for health insurance companies are particularly unattractive. Because as long as the majority of the funds do not levy such a flat-rate contribution, the survey leads to a veritable loss of members. In addition, many of the remaining refuse to pay the additional contribution. Because this is not automatically deducted with the payroll, but must be separately transferred usually monthly.
Health insurance secured for City BKK
Since around 39,000 people have not found any health insurance despite closure, the „City BKK in liquidation“ received by the autumn of this year at the latest. Until then, all health costs such as visits to the doctor, hospital stays, ambulances or medicines will be paid. Those affected should therefore keep their health insurance card until they have found a new fund. If you have not found a health insurance fund by 15 July, the employer must look for a new health insurance fund. However, this also eliminates the option of the insured. For this reason, the chairman of the umbrella association of health insurance, Doris Pfeiffer called to seek as soon as possible a new statutory health insurance in order to select an adequate fund.
Health insurance with additional contribution
It is noticeable that especially many company health insurance funds make an additional contribution. Here is an overview: BKK advita (8 euros per month) BKK for health professionals (10 euros per month), BKK Hoesch (15 euros per month) BKK Phoenix (8 euros per month), BKK Publik - partner of BKK Salzgitter 8 euros per month , German employees health insurance DAK (8 euros per month), German BKK (8 euros per month), BKK health (8 euros per month) KKH Allianz and (8 euros per month).
