First aid

First aid /
Properly performed first aid saves lives. In the case of injuries or acute medical events such as a heart attack or an allergic reaction, those affected need help from outsiders. However, determining and implementing the necessary steps is difficult for medical laypersons. Here, the completion of a first aid course provides a degree of security and learned techniques can ideally be retrieved in emergency situations again.

What is the stable side position? How does a cardiac massage or cardiopulmonary resuscitation work? How can a bleeding be stopped and what is a pressure bandage? These and similar questions are answered as part of a first aid course, so that it can respond appropriately to various emergency situations. In principle, there is a duty to provide assistance in the event of an accident and the first aid must be carried out as needed until the emergency services contacted arrive. However, as the knowledge from the first aid courses is sometimes forgotten over time, a regular refresher course in appropriate courses is recommended. (Fp)
