Poverty is fundamentally dependent on the wealth of others, and poor people therefore live in very different conditions in different countries around the world. In this country, for example, most poor people do not need to be hungry and do not want to give up their livelihood, whereas in other countries this is certainly the case. With regard to health, however, it can be said that poor people are generally in a worse position than people who are wealthy, even if the health system at least tries to strike a balance. For example, persons from poorer strata are more likely to be at higher risk of illness. By the same token, diseases can also be the cause of poverty if, for example, the exercise of a profession is no longer possible.
