Alternative therapies

Alternative therapies refer to treatment methods that have so far lacked scientific evidence. Especially in diseases that are incurable with conventional treatment methods, such alternative therapies are increasingly used, the spectrum of treatment approaches ranging from stone healing and orthomolecular medicine to acupuncture and herbal medicine. For some originally alternative therapies, a scientific proof of efficacy has already been provided over time, such as in the active ingredients of many medicinal plants, and they are therefore in the narrower sense no longer the alternative therapies.
